Textile Design and Teaching
I'm an award winning textile designer, co-author of Creative Spinning with Jane Deane and I teach weaving, spinning and dyeing to adults and occationaly children. My teaching experience extends to 25 years and includes private classes, Adult Community Education classes, workshops and one to on tuition.
I create hand woven fabrics that fuse contemporary design with traditional fibres and techniques.
Specialising in unique products that are individually designed and hand woven for each client and can include wall panels, rugs, cushions, throws and window hangings. The quality hand woven fabrics are richly textured, but with a simplicity of design, and sit very comfortably in a contemporary setting
I gain a lot of pleasure in passing on my skills via workshops and courses and seeing both adults and children enjoying the immense satisfaction of developing themselves creatively.
