I got back on Sunday evening after a lovely week-end with the Lancs & Lakes Guild of W, S & D's tutoring a Design for the Terrified workshop.
Over the last few days I taken several booking for this same workshop and 2017 is beginning to be a Design for the Terrified Year! I still have a few dates left so if you'd like on of these workshops at your guild or group, please get in touch. I don't know about anyone else, but I've had a very busy Summer! What used to be a time to catch up with myself, I now find I don't have a week to myself.
This Summer, so far, I've had my Grandchildren for two weeks, been away with them and next week I teach a 5 day course on Design for the Terrified for the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers at Moreton Morrell in Warwickshire. I'm really looking forward to the challenge! Our new term for the Monday Class starts on Monday 14 September and again I'm looking forward to the challenge of juggling the spinners with several new weavers. Despite being busy over the next few weeks in the lead up to the start of term I will be planning an exciting programme for both the spinners and the weavers. Spinners have worsted spinning to look forward to and a new range of fancy yarns, while the new weavers will be learning to warp their respective looms, the more experienced will be exploring Colour and Weave and how to design their own patterns. Exciting! I'm delighted to announce five new workshop dates for 2013. Two new Learn to Spin courses, two new Creative Spinning courses and a Natural Dye Extracts course. Find the dates on the Events page. |
AuthorI'm an award winning textile designer and artist. My art stemmed from my design work. Recently I’ve been enjoying exploring mixed media using watercolour, charcoal, pastels and inks. I still design and weave for my own pleasure which includes fashion fabrics and tapestry. This blog documents my work. Archives
